Coronavirus Update
As I'm sure that you're aware, the current situation in the UK is worrying most of us.

There is no sugar-coating it, Able and I (like many B&Bs) are feeling the pinch. In a seasonal business like ours this could not have hit at a worse time. The bank account is already low as we run at a loss during the winter months, waiting for the pick up at Easter for the start of the new season.
Luckily the Government have offered financial support for small businesses like ours and that will take the edge off but still, we realise that guest behaviour will be different, particularly this year. Walks on Dartmoor may suddenly seem more enticing than a trip to a food festival.

What are we doing to meet a change in behaviour?
One thing that we're doing at the moment is relaxing the rules on eating inside with take away food. If you'd like a pizza or a take-away meal then we will understand. We will leave cutlery and plates in the rooms or you can use our dining room. Buy yourselves a bottle of wine and have a night in.

Another option is, if you've got some friends or family that you want to travel with, come down together and we will close off the other rooms and you can have the run of the Tyndale to yourselves. For example, you book two rooms for the weekend and the other two rooms are empty then we will close them off online and then you've got exclusive use of the B&B. Able and I will serve breakfast as normal but you've got sole use of the dining room again if you want to eat here (although you won't have use of the kitchen - our insurance does not cover self-catering - but again, you can still order in). To book 2, 3 or all 4 rooms at the Tyndale when we've got no other guests in, simply call us so then we know to close off the other rooms.
Our final option is to offer a 'Room Only' service. Therefore, you'll only see us on arrival and departure. We will still service the room daily as normal. This service will have a £10 discount (per room, per day) on top of the 10% discount that we give on our website anyway. At the moment this is only available by either calling us or emailing us.
Anyone that has made a booking with us and would like to reschedule it for later in the year is of course welcome to do so. Just give us a call and we will rearrange as necessary.
Other than that, it's still the same old daily routine: Coco needs her walkies, Able continues to make the Tyndale spotless and I try to pretend that I know what's going on.
Hope that you're all keeping well and safe,
Rick
