Sustainability

Our aim is to operate a sustainable eco friendly business, we have introduced the following steps in reducing our carbon footprint print.

We work in partnership with booking.com and UN Tourism, and we follow their sustainability programme, and part of their mission is to make it easier for everyone to experience the world.

We don’t use single use plastics where possible and provide re-usable water bottles for all our guests to take away, we have a re-hydration station in the sitting room for refills with BRITA filtered water and extra BRITA filtered water in our guests in room mini fridge. (We return our used filters for recycling) We use Fair Trade products in our in room hospitality trays.

We also offer our guests the option of reusing their towels and bedding during their stay and thereby reduce the use of detergent by our local laundry company.

We have also installed two EV charging points in our car park for the convenience of those guests with electric cars.

Our chargers are managed by TAP, for rates simply download Tap Electric: EV charging APP or search for Tap Electric in your web browser.

In partnership with Torbay Council who collect our recycle bins on a weekly basis we recycle all cardboard, glass, paper, food waste, single use plastics, and cans that our guests bring into the property. We collect rain water in water buts for use in the garden for plants, pots and baskets.

We use local suppliers where possible to reduce our carbon footprint. Due to our location so close to town we recommend walking or bus routes for our guests so they are able to leave the car in one of our free parking spaces.
